A key consideration in prepping your bike for the winter is tyre choice.

Road Tyres
Our go-to road tyres are Panaracer Agilest Duro, Pirelli Cinturato Velo or, if you're happy to splash the cash, Continental Grand Prix 5000 AS. All are available tubeless ready. The Velo and GP5000 come in widths up to 35mm, while the Agilest is limited to 32mm.
Gravel Tyres
For wet gravel, and particularly muddy bridleways, you're going to need to grip. Tyres to consider – Panaracer EXT Gravel, Pirelli Cinturato Gravel S and Vittoria Terreno Wet Gravel Endurance. All are tubeless ready and available in 40mm & 45mm variants, with the exceptions of the EXT which is 38mm & 45mm.
That said, the killer tyre for really muddy conditions is the Conti Race King in 2.0” (50mm) width on 650b wheels.
