Sunday 11 July - While the nation waited with bated breath to see if it really was coming home, we at Reilly were hard at work shooting a video with GB Duathlete and Reilly Ambassador Nicole Allan.
“If I can do you, anyone can do it” said Nicole when we gave her the task of assembling a brand-new Reilly bike straight out of the box.
The video was shot at Reilly’s Brighton-based workshop. “I wanted all those gorgeous frames as a backdrop” said director Anna Kieran “but first we had to strip the space to make way for the cameras and that was a huge task as the workshop was full of kit.” Once the decks were cleared, we had the even bigger job of choosing which frames to feature. “I’m particularly partial to the pink one” said Anna “and Nicole’s other Reilly is pink, so I was keen to have that one in shot.”
Not only a talented athlete, Nicole proved nifty with a torque wrench and a natural on camera so we had time to record some long lingering shots of the expertly engineered bike before Nicole donned her helmet, clipped in and cycled home to watch the footie. Leaving us to get the workshop back in shape for Monday’s mechanics to work their magic.
