VIC HAINES

Vic Haines is a stalwart of the cycling industry; the man behind Graeme Obree’s successful Hour Record attempt in Hamar, Norway in 1993 and multiple tandem time trial record holder.

He started racing tandems back in in 1979 and before long had his own team Team Clean – Fresh Start where he and Sean Yates become a successful tandem pair. “Sean asked to join my club” said Vic “he won the National ’50’ for us and we rode tandem and two-ups together for ten years.”

With 12 British National records, 2 Worlds Fastest Times 10 Miles in 17 minutes and 9 British National Championship wins tucked into his jersey, Vic now competes in Masters events. Time trialling on his Reilly Fusion and gravel riding on his Reilly Gradient
