Brighton Photoshoot

Reilly commissioned Simon Eldon, an award-winning commercial photographer based in East Sussex with a strong background in cycling photography, to shoot the campaign for the forthcoming Cycle Show.

Leaden grey sky, plummeting temperatures and constant rain is not the perfect combination for an cycling photoshoot but the wonderful models Josie and Nick didn’t let the crappy British weather spoil the day.

Reilly Cycleworks is a proud Brighton based business and we wanted to show the colour and flavour of our local streets. The first location was Trafalgar Lane, a gritty backstreet known for the stunning graffiti and a stark contrast to the sleek, titanium Fusion with it’s clean lines and minimalist look. Riden by former professional road racer Josie Shepherd who generously gave up her time before she sets off on a bike packing adventure to Spain.

Josie rode small Fusion with Ultegra Di2, Reilly integrated carbon bar and stem and Strada PAD 55s.

The afternoon saw us decamp to Hove to photograph Nick, a trainsharp club rider and full-time solider. Despite the battering wind Nick rode up and down in front of the beach huts as if it was a summer’s day. Thankfully he was riding a Spectre our acclaimed all-road, ALL-WEATHER bike!

Nick rode large Spectre with Shimano GRX800 mechanical 2x and Strada all season wheelset.
